Translated from Sanskrit, karma means “action”. Any action of the Soul incarnated on Earth leaves a trace in it both from the action itself and from its fruit, causing new actions and results. Through its actions, the Soul can either increase the severity of its karma and submerge itself into cruder levels of existence on Earth, or it can gradually free itself from heavy debts through appropriate actions under the guidance of a mentor who has advanced further towards liberation.
